A Canadian living in London for 15 years, Mark started out as a Social Antrhopologist with a law degree and worked in the tech industry. With a thirst for personal data control and more intelligent society Mark has made a career of advocating and engineering more meaningful and usable consent.
Mark is the Co-Founder of Open Notice Initiative (opennotice.org), a community focused on evolving the broken notice and consent infrastructure on the internet. With the keen purpose of helping people and society by evolving the 'quality and usability of consent' over information and identities online.
Mark is also the founder of Smart Species, a consultancy focused on enabling people and society with the power of information. Mark believes the next generation of consent through better personal data control is finally here. Believing that it will enable Smart Spaces and incredible advances in personal communication.
